The functional purpose of VLSI is the coordinated filtering and compression of FM and LFM weak signals with a base of 4096 or more. The use of VLSI SF in devices for secondary processing of weak signals allows to increase the detection range of targets while maintaining high resolution and allows the reception of reflected signals from fast-flying targets.
VLSI SF performs the following functions:
- receiving an input complex signal;
- loading the reference complex signal during the convolution process (without stopping to load);
- convolution of input and reference signals;
- rounding up the convolution result in accordance with the programmable rounding code;
- transmission of the convolution results and the input signal to the next VLSI SF in the case of cascading microcircuits;
- receiving the convolution results from the previous VLSI SF (for cascading microcircuits).
Areas of use:
Equipment for air defense systems of the air defense missile defense system, missile defense, long-range space radiolocation, broadband radio communications, electronic warfare, state recognition systems.
