JSC NIIEM TO SELL THE LATEST PROPULSION SYSTEMS AND PASSIVE RADIATION REFRIGERATORS FOR SPACECRAFT THROUGH GLAVKOSMOS WEB PORTAL
23.03.2020

SC Research Institute of Electromechanics (NIIEM) has started to sell propulsion systems and passive radiation refrigerators for spacecraft through the specialized web portal of Glavkosmos. The agreement was reached on March 19.

Highly reliable propulsion systems KDU AIPD-95 and ERDU UD-AIPD based on pulsed plasma thrusters (PPT) with a solid-phase working body are abe to provide high-efficiency correction of the spacecraft orbit and high-precision spacecraft attitude.

High-performance passive radiation refrigerators (radiative coolers) provide cooling of infrared receivers and gamma detectors. They maintain the operating temperature of the radiation receivers at 78 K (- 195.5 °C). Radiation receivers are cooled by releasing heat into outer space. Radiation refrigerators are used in spacecraft operating in geostationary or sun-synchronous orbits and have an impeccable flight qualification in Russia since 2009.
